“Lithophilia” is a site-specific sound art installation by award winning Jersey composer Charles Mauleverer. With this artwork, Charles commemorates the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the passage grave at La Hougue Bie with an artistic response to its ancient history. For his sound composition, he worked with local geologists and historians, using all different types of Jersey stones in his recordings.
This artwork is commissioned in partnership with Société Jersiaise with the support of the Government of Jersey, Creative Island Partnership.
