When fate brings together Belfast teacher JJ and self-confessed ‘lowlifes’ Naoise and Liam Og, the needle drops on a hip-hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish, they lead a movement to save their mother tongue, overcoming police, paramilitaries and politicians along the way. Kneecap was the first Irish-language film to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
