The majestic sweep of St Ouen’s Bay has been the chosen location for several enemy invasions of Jersey. Recognising this, the Germans created a formidable defensive line during the Occupation set back from the beach and protecting the vitally important overlooking hills and heights. Enjoy great views and discover fascinating concrete traces of these defences on this walk with historian Ian Ronayne, among them a huge artillery position and its disguised observation post, a remarkable inscribed tunnel entrance and dominating steel turret.
