The JMA aimed to use the familiar BOTB structure to encourage the formation and development of young bands on the island whilst facilitating a platform for performance and self-expression. 7 bands competed: TAB, Clueless, Out of the Shadows, jims house, Something, Jeans on the Floor, and The Nike Tix. RampArts were also present at the event, providing a tote bag customisation station and graffiti board activity for audience and band members to take part in. There was an overwhelming show of support for the initiative and the bands themselves.
