Bouley Bay

Bouley Bay is a small picturesque harbour on the north coast of Jersey and nestles below some of Jersey's tallest cliffs which are up to 400 feet high, for some beautiful views there is a coastal path which leads to Bonne Nuit although care must be taken due to some areas becoming slippery

The bay is popular with swimmers and kayakers and its quiet relaxing aura is perfect for those who just want to chill out whilst the children can jump from a pontoon bridge in the bay or explore the wildlife amongst the rocks.
The bay is also one of the island’s most popular spots for scuba diving due to its deep waters and is home to the Bouley Bay Dive Centre, you will also see both locals and visitors fishing for bass and mackerel or looking for the playful dolphins that frequent the bay. Bouley Bay is also famed for its motor racing hill climbs and is one of the island’s most popular sporting events which attracts large crowds to the slopes of the hill for the three races each year, including an international event.
This area was also notorious for smuggling as the smugglers would lure ships onto the rocks, kill their crew and plunder their cargo which they could hide in various caves. The smugglers spread legend about a giant black dog that would attack anyone in the area to prevent people from witnessing their illegal activities and there is a pub nearby that carries the name
Parking here is limited and other facilities include a beach kiosk where the crab sandwiches are highly recommended
