5.30pm – Dinner (optional) with sharing platters
7.30pm Performance
An enchanting evening of dinner and chamber music at the Jersey Museum with celebrated soloist So-Ock Kim (violin) and friends Maxim Rysanov (viola), Dora Kokas (cello) and Wu Qian (piano). Uplifting and joyous Piano Quartets are celebrated in this concert from the earliest written by the effervescent Mozart who in turn inspired a youthful Beethoven. The trio is completed by Faure’s great masterpiece, the brilliant first piano quartet – a mirror to the earlier pieces – written over a century later.
A delightful dinner featuring sharing platters, transforms the event into a harmonious celebration of gastronomic delights and musical excellence.
Artists: So Ock Kim (violin), Maxim Rysanov (viola), Dora Kokas (cello), Wu Qian (piano)
At 15, So-Ock was the youngest ever winner of the gold medal in the prestigious Shell/LSO Competition playing the Tchaikovsky concerto with the London Symphony Orchestra in the Barbican Hall. Her stunning playing is supported by some rare reviews:
