Jersey Cheshire Home was established in 1983 to give a “home from home” to severely physically disabled individuals, who as a result of their disability can no longer live independently.

We provide care and support for those living with a range of disabilities including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Epilepsy, Spina Bifida, Strokes and Head injuries, and are the only residential facility on the Island, caring solely for physically disabled adults.

The home is open to adults over the age of 18 on admission but under the age of 65, once an individual becomes a resident they can remain here until they choose to leave or they pass away, whichever way this is their home for life.

Our purpose-built facility may only cater for a limited number of full-time residents, however through our additional day care, Aquatherapy and Physiotherapy services we help over an additional 60 individuals every week to manage and improve their condition; ultimately to try and avoid acute hospital services.

With our help and encouragement our disabled residents can and do achieve great things.

Enriching the lives of our residents is our priority and is of immense importance to us, in the past gifts and donations have provided opportunities to make this possible. They have helped our residents enjoy holidays and to benefit from the use of specially adapted vehicles and specialist equipment.

Whilst the home is affiliated to Leonard Cheshire Disability in the UK, all funds raised from our raffles and events remains in the Island for the benefit of our residents
