Wîci (pronounced “wi-chee”) is Canadian Cree for “together”, which is a key part of delivering any musical performance. It’s much deeper than that though, as it also symbolises the solid core of Wîci, which is the relationship between it’s 2 founding members: Steve and Kirstie.
Wîci duo
Wîci duo is Steve Royle and Kirstie Palmer: Steve plays guitar and vocals, while Kirstie plays cajon/percussion and vocals.
Steve has played guitar for 45 years in a variety of bands and genres, but more recently followed his love of latin, cuban and jazz music to provide an interesting and entertaining musical experience. Kirstie started singing and playing guitar 11 years ago. Her voice is unique and different, and she is capable of delivering a variety of genres from rock classics to gentle ballads.
Steve and Kirstie have worked together for the last 17 years, and now play in a variety of locations in both Jersey and the UK. In the UK, they are proving popular in the following markets; craft beer bars, brewery tap rooms, wine bars and restaurants.
