Looking to get involved in a local outdoor sport or maybe take in a match or two whilst you are here? The island is proud of it`s sporting community, both on land and water competing in various events including the bi-annual island games and participation in the Commonwealth Games

JSAD is a charitable organisation and was formed some 35 years ago with the purpose of providing support and encouragement to local residents with a disability who wish to take part in sport. It was, and remains, the general ethos that sport should be available to all, regardless of age or disability, and be fun!
Tennis – Tennis is a sport for everyone and for life. In a trip around the tennis courts of Jersey you will see 12-year-olds playing doubles with 70-year-olds and you’ll see places where individuals and families meet to play tennis and enjoy each other’s company.
The Jersey Tennis Association acts as the governing body for the sport of tennis within Jersey and to promote, improve, develop and support the interests of tennis in Jersey.
Our Clubs are the backbone of Jersey Tennis and we believe that with strong and healthy clubs that span the Island we can promote tennis opportunities to everyone who wants to play while properly supporting those players who want to develop their skills and compete both in and away from Jersey.

Football – Arguably one of the most popular sports on the Island in terms of participation, football is available to players of all ages in Jersey and has over 15 local clubs competing at different levels in Jersey Football Combination’s junior, senior and women’s leagues. The competitive leagues range from junior U11s through to senior reserve and first teams.  The Island’s representative sides — governed by the Jersey Football Association — play competitive matches against Channel Island rivals Guernsey each year, with the highlight being the senior Murattis, which take place in May. They also enter English cup competitions and occasionally welcome visiting UK teams to the Island for friendly matches.
The JFA —  also run a Centre of Excellence for talented junior footballers aged under-12 to under-17.
Golf – With the likes of former Ryder Cup player Ted Ray and six-time British Open winner Harry Vardon being born in the Island, there is no denying that Jersey is accustomed to producing players of the highest calibre, particularly if you add resident Tommy Horton — an outstanding golfer on the European and Seniors Tour — to the list. With three exceptional 18-hole courses and a further three 9-hole courses spread across the Island, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and enjoy the stunning scenery that Jersey has to offer.
