He has been creating art since the age of 8 but started painting more regularly at the age of 14 while studying at Les Quennevais School. Casey went on to study A-levels at Hautlieu School and then at Bournemouth Arts Institute where he gained a BA Honours degree. In 2018 he gained a PGCE secondary school teaching qualification and then had a brief spell teaching in Greater London.
His most recent work has been inspired by the coastlines of the island especially at times of dusk and dawn. With a mixture of painting outdoors and studio work he aims to produce paintings which evoke feelings of atmosphere and memories, while using his imagination to manipulate colour and subject matter.
All of the paintings on his website are one off original oil paintings mostly from the island of Jersey. There are also prints available to purchase framed or unframed, signed and titled. These limited edition prints are copies of previous paintings which have either been sold or currently for sale.
